Frequently asked questions

Why should I use Aionion?

I work with schools and education professionals who are curious about AI, but rightly cautious. I’m not a teacher, and I don’t pretend to be — my role is to act as a translator and guide, helping schools understand what AI can and can’t do, and how it can be approached safely, ethically, and responsibly.

Through Aionion, I support teachers and school leaders to explore AI in a safeguarding-first way, focused on reducing workload and administrative pressure without compromising professional judgement, student wellbeing, or trust. My approach is calm, practical, and grounded in real-world use,  not trends or hype.

1. Is AI safe to use in schools?

AI can be used safely in schools, but only with clear boundaries. My work focuses on helping schools understand appropriate use, data protection, safeguarding considerations, and where AI should not be used. Human judgement always remains central.

2. Will AI replace teachers?

No. AI does not replace teaching, relationships, or professional judgement. It can support tasks like planning, drafting, and organisation — but teaching remains a human profession.

3. Do pupils use AI as part of your work?

My focus is primarily on staff use, not pupil-facing AI. Where pupil awareness is discussed, it is framed around digital literacy, ethics, and appropriate boundaries — always aligned with safeguarding principles.

4. We’re interested but very cautious — is that a problem?

Not at all. Caution is the right starting point. Schools that take time to understand AI before adopting it tend to make better, safer decisions.

5. What does engagement usually look like?

Typically, this starts with a short conversation, followed by guidance, workshops, or advisory support tailored to your setting. There’s no “one-size-fits-all” approach.
