Building on an 18% rise in active digital users in 2023, the bank’s latest efforts to expand its workforce with pertain specifically to its cybersecurity, delivery management, data, engineering and resilience functions with a particular focus on APIs, AI, cloud computing, emerging technologies and open banking.


The new recruits will be tasked with protecting the bank’s customers against fraud, advancing its data analytics capabilities, and developing new customer features on digital channels.


“We’re currently progressing a range of innovative digital projects across the Group and we want to recruit talented specialists who can enhance the banking experience for our customers”, explains Ciarán Coyle, group COO at Bank of Ireland.

“We are looking for the very best talent to join our technology team as we continue to deliver improvements for customers and colleagues across the organisation”, adds Coyle.

This call for new additions comes shortly after the bank invested €34 million towards upgrading its telephony and customer relationship management systems, along with a €60 million investment in ATM and branch improvements.
